Do you get frustrated and bewildered when people won't or can't answer a simple question simply?

I mean, I ask where the scissors are, and what do I get? A lecture on the history of scissors. What's up with that? Are you one of those people who do that, or would you have simply said "They're in the kitchen drawer?"
