Help on my A melodic minor scale?

so I play the violin, and I'm trying to figure out the A melodic minor scale. I have to play it in 3 octaves (ugh!), and I'm a little confused. so do I play c sharp, f sharp, and g sharp on the way up and then on the way down do c natural, f natural, and g natural? or what? i'm very confused. i have to go up into 7th position on the e string, and i'm bewildered! help please! thanks!
