I sounds more like you may be experience the lose of your mucus plug, but it is better to discuss this with your doctor to be sure. Decreased fetal movement often resutls in a check at you Labor & delivery dept. You will be attached to the fetal heart monitor for about 20 mins to 1 hour to assess the baby's heart rate. 8 is okay for 38 weeks, but if you have that feeling that something is a little off...it is better to be safe rather that sorry later.
